Was this an encrypted channel or FTA?
A while ago I have observed cases where a recording from an encrypted
channel didn't produce any data, because the driver delivered weird
data, so VDR was unable to synchronize on the frames.

Sometimes I get such problems with recordings from ZDF.
Must be bad multiplexing from the driver.

This is already on my TODO list, but switching to the NAPI currently
has top priority ;-)
