[linux-dvb] a Start converting AC3 to Mpeg2 Sound?

Hi All!

Just found something quite promising at:

This is a Software intended to convert AC3 to mpeg2-multichannel

Im looking for a Solution converting the AC3 Sound inside
a .vob to MPEG-2 Sound. In order to play it directly
with the DVBs Card.

Another Question:
is mpeg2 Multichannel Sound Output send via the SPDIF
Connector?

This could lead to a solution with Digital Surround Sound
via SPDIF on a DVBs Card!

There is no easy Solution on this Page but just a Start!
So dont expect to much!
