Are you sure you are using VDR 0.81, which is version 0.80 plus teh patch

The symptoms you describe fit exactly on VDR 0.80 when using it with the latest
CVS driver, and should be gone with the above patch. Note, though, that I have
some 0.80pre... patches, which are meanwhile obsolete because recording two audio
tracks now works fine without resequencing the packets. So in case you have applied
one of thoe 0.81pre... patches, just go back to a clean version 0.80 and apply the
above patch.

How many DVB cards do you have? 
Are you experiencing problems when switching channels?
