[linux-dvb] Re: Watch DVD's in DD5.1 on SBLive (was: dvd playback)
Hi Peter,
I installed the current CVS ALSA driver and tools 30 minutes ago and AC3
output on SBLive's SPDIF with the RC1 Version of "First Contact" worked
instantly, although with poor audio/video sync later in the movie (after
doing some Fast Forward/Pause/Skip/Play tests and using the 3.2.1 DD audio
track).
Very impressing (as my SBLive usually tries to totally fu** my speakers
under W2K by crackling REALLY loud).
Make sure you specify the correct snd_extout value in modules.conf as
mentioned in the INSTALL file.
(Don't even know if that's necessary but it sure isn't a bad idea).
And use " -o 'ac3dec -C'" in playdvd.scr after installing ac3dec to
/usr/local/bin or something.
Good luck,
Stephan
