[linux-dvb] ac3dec, /dev/dsp

Help! PLEASE! ;-)

I can't stand it any longer. Finally I found ac3dec, 
successfully compiled and installed it (yes, it runs) 
but it returns an error message saying "/dev/dsp 
doesn't exist".

But it does exist! It's a symbolic link to /dev/dsp0. 
it has rxw rights for all users ...

Sound playing with alsaconf (the test) does work.

Where am I wrong. My head is totally mixed up with all 
kinds of drivers, libs and so on?
