[linux-dvb] Re: vdr: picture quite dark on tv



It seems the video output  from the RCA connector is the same as the one
from J2.
In this situation if for example you want to output RGB for TV and you also
have the composite plugged into a VTR for example that means you have two
low-z (75ohms) charges on one output.
If you can handle a soldering iron I would suggest to buffer the output this
way you can feed two devices one at a time
without unplugging the cable.
My case is TV set RGB and VTR composite.
On the sound side I feed the analog output to VTR and the SPDIF output is
feeded into the onboard soundcard CMI8738 SPDIF input and the soundcard
analog output is then send to TV.
Once again I strongly encourage to buffer the video output not only to feed
two destination but also to protect the DVBs video output circuit.
