did you check out my site

http://www.pxh.de/fs/svcd/

I describe there the process of transcoding VDR files to SVCDs with Linux
tools. The resulting SVCDs play back in a variety of DVD players and also under
Linux with xine.

I have not tried to view them with the DVB card, yet. I don't see any reason
why this shouldn't work, however, since SVCDs just contain standard MPEG2.
Perhaps it is possible to tweak the dvdplayer program to play them back with
the DVB card, or you can copy them back to disk and create VDR index files. The
SVCD resolution of 480x576 should also be not a problem, since some programs
are broadcast in this format anyway.

Please tell me about your experiences.

Peter
