[linux-dvb] hauppaug-linux-2.0
Anyone on this list uses the package called hauppaug v2.0 ?
I found it at a local ISP in Romania on their website. It uses
siemens-0.82 unmodified and dvbdrouter with a few very small
modifications.
Since I haven't been able to compile drivers 0.9 (pages of syntax
errors),
I use this package.
I mailed a few questions to the email of the author of this package
(Bernd
Fromel from Hauppagge) but I received no answers.
My card is a SkyStar 1 on Linux Slackware 7.0, kernel 2.2.17.
Since my dish is between some trees I can't really reach to give them a
haircut, I don't have signal all day. T115 is adequate between 21:00 and
04:30 (GMT+2), T114 between 17:00 and 18:00, I never got signal from T113,
and T103 almost never, altough before the tree grew so high, it was the
best signalwise.
Thus, I stop and restart dvbd often and change transponders.
But if I stop dvbd with Ctrl-C (not running as daemon) and then restart it
on the same transponder, a ping to proxy.xxx.europeonline.net will start
to
return duplicate packets.
Anyone seen this ?
Also, using the TV app, on most stations, sound is garbled. I mean music
(loud) seems ok, but speech is completely garbled. Picture is good,
stable.
Thank you.
