[linux-dvb] dvb-t: oops with sound

Hi,

I've managed to install a hauppauge (technotrend) dvb-t pci card and use it
with the drivers dvb-20011216 (in debian based linux with kernel 2.4.16).
The card should be an early "version 1.6" model, based on the layout
descriptions (it has 1 composite video-out, one rf-in and a 3,5 mm stereo
jack for audio - it's not a wintv "Nova"). It's for experimental use for time
being - I'm hunting down a dvb-c card but no shop is selling them here!

The card can tune the dvb-t channels (Finland) and video shows
OK from the s-video out connector. I can use VDR (vdr-0.99pre1 with the ofdm
modifications for Finnish dvb-t params): it can show the SI (program
information - nice for recordings!).

Unfortunately, I still have some problems and questions ...

First, I cannot get any sound from the audio connector, I've tried both the
default and
	insmod dvb.o adac=1 ...
I suspect silence may be due because the card has not chip
TLC320AD80C but something like CY7C024AV-25AC.
(But note that the card works OK and with audio in Windows using the reqular
drivers available from the Technotrend or Hauppauge website).
There are no syslog errors/messages and the test_audio program that comes
with drivers did not reveal anything to me ...

Is there some way to redirect audio stream to the soundcard drivers instead?
(I'm using an SB Live! 5.1 so in theory it could handle some ac3 input as
well...?)

Second: I cannot get any overlay video from the card, neither on terminal
(console) or X window - with vdr or kdvr. I've just recently installed the
v4l driver support in kernel, so I might be missing something (I did not have
any /dev/video* devices, I just made a symlink to /dev/ost/video...).
I'm using xserver-xfree86 4.1.0, display adapter is nVidia GeForce2 MX (to
mention: an overlay video works from DVD using the Ogle player). Again, there
are no specific syslog errors or something obvious to my attention...

Here's the capture from the syslog:
