[linux-dvb] ttusb doesn't seem to do anything

Hi
I've just compiled the ttusb module and done a 'make insmod', which all went without any major glitches. I can see the module being loaded with lsmod, but there're no new devices in /dev.
I'm running kernel 2.4.19 (Mandrake 9.0) and using devfs.
Is this not working at all at the moment or am I just being a total moron? (hopefully the answer lies somewhere between those two extremes...)
