[linux-dvb] Re: Nova-T with a new tuner

Man, this is really getting a popular topic ;) James, please see the
current thread

"Missing frontend for Lorenzen LS DVB-T"

The Lorenzen card is _exactly_ the same thing that is sold as the new
Nova-T in the UK. If you follow the discussions, you'll see that there are
a number of people currently much at work with this. FWIW, I have managed
to make the frontend work, but in a Windows BDA driver :-) I am exchanging
information with some Linux programmers, though, which I suppose will soon
produce the first results...

> Notable features of interest include the unlabelled jumper

FWIW, the jumper is documented on the one sheet of paper Lorenzen ships
with the card, and it's for enabling a 5V DC voltage on the antenna input.
This is for feeding certain amplified indoor antennas.

Not sure what you mean. The unequipped long connector at the top is most
likely for a CI slot card.

Don't bother. Someone's already done it and we now know what's inside (see
the thread I mentioned).

Don't bother either, as we already have the i2c logs.

If you want to contribute something: The thing most wanted is the
programming information on the TDA10045H from Philips. If you can hunt this
document down somewhere, you'll be our hero :-)
