[linux-dvb] Hauppage nexus-s rev2.2 trouble
Hi,
I spend the whole weekend trying to get a hauppage nexus-s rev2.2 working
with the dvb driver (tried different versions and kernels), did some google
search and searched the mailing list but found nothing that really helped
me.
On the card itself I saw that is was rev2.2 and trough some label on the
tuner I see BSRU6
I am using Gentoo and the gentoo-2.6.3 kernel with linuxtv-dvb 1.1.1 driver,
I also tried the driver included in the kernel as module. I downloaded the
firmware from the dvb download page and copied to the hotplug firmware directory,
I also tried with the firmware compiled in to the dvb_ttpci kernel module.
Lspci output :

So I think all needed modules are loaded fine.
I'm using Astra, So I copied the Astra channel conf to ~/.mplayer , ~/.xine
and ~/.szap
When testing with pmlayer I always get this error :
Playing dvb://CNN.

Xine just locks up and vdr just shows a black screen and flikkers a lot
until I close the screen.

I don't know what to do anymore, is the nexus-s rev2.2 not supported ? Do
I have to use another firmware (I sa when using an older driver that the
kernel message sais someting like : detected rev2.1 or 2.2, latest driver
doesn't say anything about rev2.2)
I'm also using a pvr350 that works fine and did use a bttv787 card that
worked fine so 4vl is working fine I think. (I pulled the bttv card out
at the moment, I did test without the pvr350 card to)
All help and info is welcome.
Regards,
Bart Heremans
