Hi Martin,
which CVS module did you use to compile for 2.4.20?
Get dvb-kernel from CVS an build it against your 2.6.7 kernel. That should do 
the trick.
To be sure, you don't have the kernel tree modules loaded do a "insmod.sh 
unload" before you "insmod.sh load"
