[linux-dvb] cx22702 problems

Hi,

I tried to install the Haupauge Nova-T Model 909 and IIRC the cx22702
frontend is what I need to use. I use the video4linux snapshot from
yesterday and the dvb cvs from one hour ago. Here a log what is
happening:

OK, that was the Avermedia Card I also have. After that, other parts
of my system add some stuff to /var/log/messages and after some time
the new card syas something:

Sep 11 17:35:28 babylon cx88[0]/2: cx2388x based dvb card
Sep 11 17:35:28 babylon DVB: registering new adapter (cx88[0]).

Again a small break here, other stuff I cut out.

Sep 11 17:35:33 babylon i2c_adapter i2c-2: sendbytes: error - bailout.
Sep 11 17:35:33 babylon i2c_adapter i2c-3: sendbytes: error - bailout.
Sep 11 17:35:34 babylon i2c_adapter i2c-4: sendbytes: error - bailout.

That doesn't sound good. After that, I have adapter0 for my Avermedia
card (and it is working) and adapter1 for the new one, the frontend is
missing. So I call

modprobe cx22702

and here is the result:

Sep 11 17:38:45 babylon cx22702_validate_eeprom eeprom content is not valid
Sep 11 17:38:45 babylon DVB: registering frontend 1 (CX22702 Demod Thompson 759x/7579 PLL)...
Sep 11 17:38:46 babylon cx22702_validate_eeprom eeprom content is not valid
Sep 11 17:38:46 babylon cx22702_validate_eeprom i2c eeprom request failed
Sep 11 17:38:46 babylon cx22702_validate_eeprom i2c eeprom request failed

BTW, why is the log saying "registering frontend 1". It's frontend0 on
adapter1. After that (not promisse looking) modprobe I have adapater1
with a frontend0. But when I use tzap on the adapater1, I get no
lock.

Ideas? Maybe one additional thing: I read something on this list about
some special settings for Germany. Do I need them or is this already
in CVS somewere?
