BTW: in case you missed it, the rationale for disabling i2c autoprobing was 
because we now have DVB frontends which clash - the cx22702 and alps_tdmb7. 
Disabling autoprobing and explicitly requesting i2c drivers seemed the 
cleanest and most futureproof solution.
