You can wrap internal stuff into #ifdef __KERNEL__ if you really want to
hide it from userspace. But I don't think it is needed, it's usable
from kernel space only anyway.

The point is that having EXTRA_FLAGS += -Idrivers/media/dvb/core
everythere simply sucks big time.

Yeah, and right now you'll have -Idrivers/media/dvb/frontends as well...

sure, and this mirrors exactly what you intent, you always have corresponding declaration and implentation in a single place... isn't that preferrable?
