[linux-dvb] Documentation wanted - install Nova-s - Newbie

Hi,
i have a problem installing a "Haupauge WinTV Nova-s" model 541. I try
to use budget and stv0299 modules. (Kernel 2.6.[7|9])

dmesg shows only this:
saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb'

nothing about: Card found ..

My questions:
Which Documentation or Howto should i read and where can i find it?
Which modules in which order should i load?
