same here (on all channels) with my Terratec 1200 dvb-c budget card and 
debian sid. (kernel 2.6.9)

i think there is something wrong in ringbuffer implementation, so data 
will be overwritten with new one before vdr can save them. (or decoded 
by mplayer/xine/kaxtv if i view directly)

i've tried many things and change pci latency have big impact on data 
loss rate. but i've never got it to zero loss rate.
