[linux-dvb] Re: Technisat AirStar 2 PCI card

Hello,

has someone the AirStar2 DVB-T PCI-card running?

Under Fedora 3 (Kernel 2.6.9) there are two drivers as modules installed:
dvb-core and Skystar2.

Unfortunately, the /dev/dvb/* device tree isn't installed
and creating it manually with 'MAKEDEV dvb' doesn't help:
The scan utility (from the linuxtv-apps) simply responds "No such device" , cannot open /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0.

Is there a way to get this baby running?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings
Robert

you need skystar2 and mt352 from dvb-kernel (cvs version of the drivers).
Unfortunately VHF channels don't tune.
The reason is that the drivers always use the 20.4 Mhz clock, while
for bandwidth 7 and 6 the right clock to use is the 19.2 Mhz one.

Hopefully someone knows how to program these settings :)
