[linux-dvb] Re: Twinhan Visionplus VisionDVT mini ter
It seems we have sort of the same problem here. I compiled me a
2.6.10-rc3 kernel with the modules you loaded yourself. I managed to get
a /dev/dvb/adapter0 directory and there I found
demux0 dvr0 frontend0 net0
How do I go about testing this? Shouldn't I get a video0 device also?

I have one of these cards and am having some difficulty getting it to work.
I emailed twinhan, and apparrently it has a philips tu-1216 tuner.
Now, it is a pci dvb card (free view in the UK).
I am running kernel 2.6.10-rc3 (Because I figured it had all the patches in I need).
I built dvb-core into the kernel.
When I modprobe bttv I get:
Dec 22 01:56:05 pvr bttv: driver version 0.9.15 loaded
Dec 22 01:56:05 pvr bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture

Dec 22 01:56:35 pvr DVB: registering new adapter (bttv0).
Then if I modprobe dst I get:
Dec 22 01:57:18 pvr bt878 find by dvb adap: checking "SMBus Via Pro adapter at
Dec 22 01:57:18 pvr bt878 find by dvb adap: NOT found "SMBus Via Pro adapter at
Dec 22 01:57:18 pvr bt878 find by dvb adap: checking "bt878 #0 [hw]"
And nothing more.
Out of interest I went on to try all the front ends and when I tried cx22702 I got:
Dec 22 02:05:04 pvr cx22702: Detected Hauppauge Nova-T DVB-T - PLL Thomson
Dec 22 02:05:06 pvr cx22702_validate_eeprom eeprom content is not valid
just in case that helps anyone.
So the question is where to go from here.
i2c seems loaded with bits to recognise the bttv bits.
What am I doing wrong?
Should I be loading the bttv driver at all?
