I just tried cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 > /dev/null and it also crashed the
machine after abotu 1-1.5h (wasn't at home all the time).
Is it possible to attach a serial debug console to your box so that you
can see the last kernel output messages?
Have you tried garbled input streams?
What are garbled input streams? :)
Errornous streams, a stream containing any error you can imagine.
