i would like to give it a try, too... so you mean the hauppauge, which has the bt878a connected
to the altera and the pci bus, so how is the solution with the original kfir-board? memory mapped io?

in the cvs repository on pvr.sourceforge.net the driver is not even capable to compile on 2.4.18 up kernels,
because of linux/malloc.h <-> linux/slab.h change ...

i use it on linux 2.4.19-ac2 to watch tv, but the current cvs-source is not capable in any way
to initialise any irq nor block-device, it just sets up the altera and exits ... although all code is
there, so i just need to search the code, which accesses the kfir chip and exchange it with gpio code
through bttv? ... (its so easy to say ...)

and i would like to use the current kfir.c-file from linuxtv, because the other project is based on
quite an old source i think? (after comparing sources)
