The message comes from VDR. When I took the code from one of the
driver example programs that repacks the video/audio stream, I stripped
the parts that dealt with MPEG1, since what VDR records is _always_
MPEG2. At some point VDR does check the header to see if this is actually
the case, and if not, issues this message.

When you see this message it is an indication that the incoming data is
already corrupted.

I don't get this message here. Not on any recording from any channel.
Something must be wrong on your system.

What kind of DVB card are you using?
I'm using a Siemens DVB-S.
Maybe it's a problem between the latest driver and your card type?
