I thought about to use the same "universalRemote-Controll" (buy one more) and solder out
the IR-Diode then make a Cable (abgeschirmt) between the IR-Diode and the Remote
Perhaps this could work ?

Such Cables have a not very high "wiederstand" and they are "abgeschirmt"

So i think this could work - i will try it....


Your other Idea (internet-Keyboard) is also a good idea  i use a Windowze Machine to watch on it(Hauppauge 
WINTV) so the software wich read out the Keyboard and sent the commands to the VDR should run under WINDOWS....
