Then you are in big trouble - if you have more than one card.
As you know, VDR creates a recording directory name from the start
date and time and from the priority and lifetime.
If all of them are the same in two different timer entries,
the vdr files step on each other creating a total mess.
I had that once and I did not manage to repair the damaged
recording(s), so I threw the directory away and re-recorded.

Klaus and I talked back then and he intends to prevent that
situation in vdr.
I assume that Klaus will check his timer entries for parameters
that would create identical directory names. Maybe he will also
put in a check for suspicious overlaps like two recordings
starting and/or ending on the same channel and/or having the same
name at the same date and time, more recordings overlapping than
there are cards, etc.

Until then, a simple solution would be to manually change the
life time or priority field, so you get at least two distinct
directories.

Carsten.
