want to install kde: fvwm2 is enough for me...).

Would it be possible to have a xvdr?

I think you are wrong on one point: I can use xv with DVB-s, at least
with the patched v4l_drv as MArcus Metzler sent us on first february.
Notice that Mandrake 8.2 has it in native ;-))

At least it work really great with xawtv and one Matrox G400 for me ;-)
