as the offer says the mp has a Celeron 433Mhz ...

is that enough for divx and decss?

because i currently run my vdr on a pII 350 and i cant watch divx and decss
dvds because its too slow...

The MediaPortal (as currently offered on ebay, see
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1342308173) IMO is quite a
bargain.
For about the price of a single DVB-S card alone you get a complete system
including
the DVB-S card _with_ the CAM interface plus a DVD drive. So even if you
decide not to
use the MP hardware, you still have gotten a DVB-S card at almost no extra
costs.
And if you already have a DVB-S card, you can install that one into the MP
to get
a dual DVB card system (which, I guess, is what everybody wants, anyway,
since it brings up
the big advantages of VDR like time shifting etc).

Just my two cents. Oh, and BTW: I am of course in no way affiliated with the
people who sell the MP.
