[vdr] How "preserve" a recording?

Is there an easy way to preserve recording longer
than said in timer setting?

For example i usually set life time to "7" in the timer.
Now i find the recording very valuable and want to keep
it longer, fortnight or "forever".
How can this be done?

I do not find a menu, that fiddles with the life time
of the alread done recordings.
