[vdr] The perfect hardware?

Stumbled over this when browsing the net...

Well... it's only a reference-board for developers.. but it might be the perfect base for a VDR box
if the onbard-chips could be used: http://www.sigmadesigns.com/products/jasmine.htm

The mainboard incorporates the successor of the Decoder-chip from the 'Hollywood+'-cards and
supports Playback of MPEG4(DivX), MPEG1/2, MPEG-1 layer I,II,II (MP3) and AC3/DTS over
SPDIF. Since it's a sigma designs product I think one can assume perfect output-quality.

There is everything onboard except the DVB-card(s), so the standard 3 PCI-slots should be
enough. Since the supported operating-system is LINUX, drivers are already available.
So all we need is a VDR 1.0.0+ with an appropriate output-plugin :-)

Greetings, Marcus
