I suggest an extension of the SVDRP CHAN command by an optional number giving 
the dvb-device the channels should be switched (defaults to primary). 
That way i could implement it very easily in kvdr. Of course a recording 
channel should be/is still blocked, the message "channel recording" should 
mention the device then.

BTW, can you use Xv on your second card and with kvdr-0.51 zap through 
without problems? I ask because it still does'nt work for me - overlay mode 
does work on both cards, grabbing images as well in fails, the ioctl-sync 
never returns.
If the card has definitely a failure i could ask for a replacement...
