The samba server is on the Linux VDR box. I'm connecting to the Linux
VDR box from Windows 2000/Xp. Windows Explorer will often not show any
contents in an EPISODE directory.

So for example the following directory will appear in Windows Explorer
as empty:

V:\Diagnosis_Murder\A_Man_You_Don#27t_Meet_Every_Day#3A_Jude_meets_a_fac
e_from_the_past_and_hears_some_news_she_wasn#27t_expecting._W#2FS.

In a command prompt if I try to change from the Diagnosis_Murder
directory to the
A_Man_You_Don#27t_Meet_Every_Day#3A_Jude_meets_a_face_from_the_past_and_
hears_some_news_she_wasn#27t_expecting._W#2FS. directory I get "The
system cannot find the path specified.".

Is this likely a bug with samba or Windows' SMB client?

Thanks,

Simon
