Of course, this was my intention. You shouldn't set them all to the
same date ;)

touch --date="2002-01-01 18:50:50" firstdir # the topmost movie

touch --date="2002-01-01 19:30:00" seconddir # the second topmost

...

touch --date="2002-01-01 20:00:00" lastdir # the last movie

or vice versa for reverse sorting...



Did I miss the point completely ? ;-)
