[vdr] Can't use horizontal channels...

Hi!

Today I got my DVB-Card back... Now I have some problems:
1. There where I want wo place the box, I can't receive anything.
2. On another Port of the Multiswitch (nearer to it -> less cable) I
only can get horizontal channels. IMHO, this looks as if the Card
can't switch between H (Pro7, VIVA, MTV...) and V (all ARD/ZDF/3...)
channels... Can I fix this by using another Multiswitch? If yes, can I
add the Switch behind the existing:

Sat --~5m--> Switch1 --~15m--> Switch2 --~1m--> VDR
             |-> other Receivers

If it is possible... can you tell me which one is good for this? It
shouldn't be to expensive.
If this isn't possible: Are long distances between the LNB and the
switch an problem? If it isn't, I could split the digital cables
before they enter the 1st switch.
