[vdr] VDR developer version 1.1.4

VDR developer version 1.1.4 is now available at

    ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/pub/people/kls/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.1.4.tgz

This version is directed towards developers who want to implement
plugins for VDR. The "stable" version for every day use is still 1.0.4.

Please read the file VDR/PLUGINS.html, which gives an overview of the
plugin interface and how to create your own plugins.

The latest driver (taken from today's CVS) can be found at

    ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/pub/people/kls/vdr/Developer/siemens_dvb-0.9.4-2002-06-23.tgz

This version finally introduces everything necessary for implementing "player"
plugins (at least that's the plan). So maybe those who have written player patches
in the past would now like to try to switch to a plugin. The new chapter
"Part II - The Inside Interface/Players" in the file VDR/PLUGINS.html gives you
an overview on how to do this. If you have any questions on how to switch your actual
code to a VDR plugin, please don't hesitate to ask. There may even still be some things
missing that I didn't think of...

BTW: I'll be going on a two week vacation starting next thursday, so I won't be
able to check my email too often.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This version still has some limitations (see below) and is considered highly
experimental! USE IT WITH GREAT CARE AND UNDER CONTROLLED CONDITIONS BEFORE
RELYING ON IT FOR EVERY DAY USE!

The changes since version 1.1.3:

- Added Hungarian language texts (thanks to Istvan Koenigsberger and Guido Josten).
- Activated cutting.
- Activated 'Transfer Mode'.
- Moved handling of the Menu key entirely into vdr.c.
- Switched VDR's own player to the new cPlayer/cControl structures.
- Switched handling 'Transfer Mode' to the new cPlayer/cControl structures.
- The following limitations apply to this version:
  + The '-a' option (for Dolby Digital audio) doesn't work yet.
  + Switching between different language tracks doesn't work yet.
