[vdr] Slideshow on vdr

Hi !
In addition of this ...vdr is a multimedia machine... Mail.
I'd like to build a slideshow with some jpeg files with VDR. 
It would be great to show my pictures, taken by my digital cam,
on my tv-screen without changing the environment. At least, i want to
use my IR to control the slideshow or choose to run it automaticly.
Is there any possibility on VDR to do that? 
Does the mplayer provide to show some jpeg?
