[vdr] Hardware question

Hi Harry,

I am using a Duron 1200 together with K7S5AL (Audio and LAN
on board so you can save PCI-slots).
It's a very cheap MoBo.

NV-RAM-Wakeup works fine now, only a Reboot is nessecary if
a new Wakeup-time has been defined.
But this is handled automatically by nvram-Wakeup (the
boot-image does not work).

If you think about a silent computer, you should not use
Duron, since they do need more power (=heat) then a pentium.
I am using my machine (with a very silent cooler) in the
living room, but it is sometimes to noisy since the cooler
is running all the time.
But I can live with it.
