a simple
  svdrpsend.pl "GRAB /tmp/vdr-capture-001.jpg"
grabs full size (768x576) with full quality.

By the way: I would love to have this function on the remote control. The filename
should be generated automatically from the broadcast's epg title and a sequential
number.
