[vdr] Need a rough roundup of the VDR system, please

Hello,

I do not want to go into details. My question I have because I was thinking
about creating a little framework for a AV-client/server system. Maybe
based on some of the OST specs.

This would either mean a heavily Flash based system or plain HTML. Probably
both, combined. I am just thinking about it, I can't connect since weeks to

Now VDR takes over pretty much all of it.

I was wondering if it would be possible to have VDR as an overlay or in its
own window/region of the screen. My dream would be VDR in the back, but on
hit of a button a little desktop/menu system would scroll into the screen
or come as overlay.

Not sure on how to do this yet.

But maybe some of those amiliar with VDR could have the one or other idea ?
