[vdr] Mp3 & LCD interesting links

Hi all,

I just found two very interesting links, which I would like to share:

LCD-T6963C A Linux kernel driver for Toshiba T6963C
http://wwwthep.physik.uni-mainz.de/~frink/linux.html

The T6963C chip is a killer graphical LCD driver. I have one
of these display running on my modded windows machine. The
code from the site above is alpha stadium, but this caught my eye:

"as fully featured console driver, which means you get a login prompt,
can run Emacs or ncurses based applications on it. You see all boot and
shutdown messages up to "Restarting system" (which you hardly can see
after the "Rebooting..." message). It can be used as a replacement for the
VGA card or as a "dual head" graphics card"

Hmm, i see a whole lot of uses ;) debugging, displaying the VDR logo,
MP3, DVD, Teletext news, incoming calls, etc, etc etc

Second link: Winamp has been transported to Linux (skins can be used
for both windows and linux). Not quite sure if this would be
implementable in VDR, but here is the link never the less

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/alternative_platforms/linux_software/winam
p_for_linux.cfm

(I didn`t find it on winamps site directly)

Greetz,
Reinhard

I hope answer the still open subjects on my behalf tommorrow.
I have to do some work on a room in the house ;o(.
