The most likely cause for those error are brand new RPC-2 drives which have 
never been initialised to a region code before or drives that are set to the 
wrong region code. The DVD plugin does not touch the region code setting of 
the drive. You have to do that manualy!!!

There is a tool in the dvd libs on linuxtv.org that can set the region code 
under linux. However, i would strongly recommend to change the drives 
firmware to an RPC-1 version.
