[vdr] no primary device found - giving up

hello list

i installed vdr 1.1.14 with last dvb driver from 
http://www.linuxdvb.tv/download/
the driver installed fine
but when i try to launch vdr
i got
no primary device found - giving up!

looking in var/log/massages wont tell much
when i do a make insmod with the driver its the same
i got a dvb-c

any ideas?
