Do you really think that suspend to ram is very useful?
AFAIK, the fan of the power supply is still running to provide power.

Normally it should be no problem to shutdown VDR before standby and
reload the drivers and VDR after the wakeup.

I have tried this already with a barebon from MSI, but it was pretty
useless because the fan of the power supply was still running.
