New test:

HEAD driver start, mplayer from command line - OK speed.
start vdr, start a movie with mplayer 0.7.7 plugin - slows down
quit vdr, mplayer slows down also from command line...

Need to restart (make rmmod; make insmod) the HEAD driver, and mplayer
OK speed again from command line. So seems like something happens with
the HEAD driver when we call vdr/mplayer plugin.
