I didn't supposed anything ;-)
But you are right, for a dialup situation like yours the design
is not well suitable (supposing that you don't want
dial-on-demand).

I switched to the internal solution, because I got many mails
from users which had problems to set up a script for the lookup.

I'm sorry, for the moment there is no solution. I'm not going to
bring the old script driven lookup back, but if it helps I could
implement two script callback-hooks which are called before and
after the actual lookup.
