I get them quite often, when I get them, my solution is to restart the
driver, until there's no outcommand errors in the log. If I do not
restart vdr gets very sluggish and unstable.

In my case it is related to CI/CAM, are you also using a CAM?

I think it is not a vdr but a driver/firmware issue, you may want to
check linux-dvb@linuxtv.org mailing list. I believe some peoples
solves this problem by moving the card around, checking that there's
no interrupt sharing/conflicts etc. etc.

I have a dvb-c 2.1, 2.4.19 kernel.
