Ok, so it's possible. I even thought so myself :)
Forgive me for being stupid, but do I only need to select stuff for
recording from EPG (or manually) and try how many different channels I'm
able to record? Obviously I need to make sure that all the channels are
coming from the same transponder or it won't work.

I'm very new to this stuff since I only got the stuff together and installed
between xmas and new year.

It'd also be a nice feature if it would be possible to change between
channels which are in the same transponder. Currently vdr says something
like "Channel is locked" when trying to change channels while recording.
I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to seek through channels.conf for other
entries in the same transponder and change between those.
