as you can see, vdr allways opens /dev/video1 for grabbing, it is not
interested to what node the link points. this is for sure no problem
with vdr but with the driver. maybe your driver has no support for
video4linux like devices. this should be discussed on the dvb ML.

tell the nice guys there, what hardware you use and which drivers
(versions) you tried.
