[vdr] VDR and the Keyboard

Hi,

I have a small problem. If i have a vga card in my computer, i can use the
command line option -t to use a keyboard connected to the computer (via a
virtual terminal). But the vga card is only for debuging and installation of
the system. After removing of the vga card the system boots and uses one of
its serial port for its console. The needed tty devices seems not to work
any longer (the runvdr script loads the dvbdriver over and over).

I can't use a vga card, because i haven't enough space inside the case (an
old cd player).

Is it possible to use the local keyboard without a corresponding tty? It is
no problem, if the solution makes it impossible to use the keyboard for
other things. The system will be updated via an init script, so no user
interaction is required.

My system:
- vdr 1.1.20

- kernel 2.4.20 with devfs support and
'console on serial port' enabled (needed to boot
  the system without graphic hardware)

- normal AT compatible keyboard, not a usb device
(so i can't use the input HID device driver)

Thanks,
Oliver
