Don't know, I never used 1.0.3, and I haven't used 1.0.4 for ages... ;-)

Hmm, maybe this is related to the good old RTL bug (IMHO a firmware 
problem, which has has never been fixed).

You could try the old 0.9.4 firmware with the new driver and see whether 
the replay problem disappears...
