Try to lower the bitrate of the generated video. It is assumed that on
some systems the PCI bus is not able to handle high bitrates. I don't
know whether this is true or not but most people report success if they
do the following:

In mplayer.sh.conf set
  VOP="lavc=9000"
to
  VOP="lavc=6000"

Try different values.
